For both sidewalk work license and street excavating license.  Any contractor conducting work in the City of Bridgeport that includes the excavation of roads or sidewalks for utility work, sewer work, or related digging must be licensed with the City of Bridgeport.  All licenses shall expire on the thirty-first day of March next following their issuance, unless sooner revoked, and shall not be transferable. Contractors must provide Insurance and a bond when applying for a license.
