TreeHouse Foods, Inc. is recalling certain frozen waffle products due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious illness, especially in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems. Healthy people may have short-term symptoms, but for pregnant women, it can cause miscarriages or stillbirths.

The recalled waffles were sold in the U.S. and Canada under different brand names. Consumers should check the UPC, Lot Code, and Best By Date on the packaging. No illnesses have been reported yet. The issue was found during routine testing at the factory.

Consumers should throw away the product or return it to the store for a refund. The recall is happening with the knowledge of the U.S. FDA and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
