The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) issues a public health warning regarding sliced chicken and chicken salad sold at all Stew Leonard's in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey between August 2022 and January 29, 2024. These products contain undeclared milk, posing a significant health risk to individuals with milk allergies.

Stew Leonard’s has issued a voluntary recall for the products. Consumers who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.  No illnesses have been reported to date.

  • Sliced and Shaved Chicken
  • Sliced and Shaved Buffalo Chicken
  • Chicken Salad
  • Chicken Salad Sub Sandwich
  • Buffalo Chicken Salad
  • Boom Boom Chicken Salad
  • Cape Cod Chicken Salad (sold in Norwalk, CT only)
  • Lite Chicken Salad (sold in Norwalk, CT only)

Customers Are Advised To

Customers who have purchased these products should bring the product back to Stew Leonard’s customer service for a full refund.
