Bridgeport, CT – The City of Bridgeport Department of Health and Social Services has partnered with DOCS Medical to provide free vaccinations to children who reside in Bridgeport. These vaccines are a part of an initiative launched by the Department of Health and Social Services to increase the number of children who receive routine immunizations and meet Bridgeport Public School requirements for attendance.

According to Connecticut State law, there are specific vaccinations a child is required to obtain, depending on the child’s age or grade in school. By offering free vaccinations to children in Bridgeport, the Department of Health and Social Services intends to not only increase the number of immunized children within the City, but increase preventative measures taken by Bridgeport families to reduce illnesses that may be prevalent in preadolescent and adolescent communities. Residents are encouraged to visit bridgeportct.gov/childhoodvaccines for more information on vaccine schedules by age and how to make an appointment at the Bridgeport DOCS Medical clinic.
