Bridgeport, CTYesterday, Mayor Ganim met with the leadership teams of the Bridgeport Department of Public Facilities and management from the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center to talk about the upcoming winter season and to ensure both departments are prepared. The city has also purchased over $1 million worth of new snowplows and winter equipment for the 2023-2024 winter season. This investment will assist with the efforts to keep roadways clear throughout the City as snow is expected to arrive within the coming months. With new snowplows, the City is making sure to be as prepared as possible for any pending weather throughout the winter.

Mayor Ganim stated, “My administration and I are committed to making sure that the city is safe as we head into the winter season. I encourage residents to check on their neighbors, loved ones, and any senior citizens they know. Make sure you have an emergency kit in your house and prepare to be mindful of any storms that might be coming.”
