BRIDGEPORT, CT – On Saturday, June 15,
Bridgeport Neighborhood Trust along with fourteen other local community
organizations are hosting the Bridgeport Homeownership EXPO.
“The housing market is stabilizing and
interest rates are still at their all time low, now is the time to buy,”
states Elizabeth Torres, Executive Director of BNT. 40 plus exhibitors
will be on hand throughout the day to provide resources to help families
get on the homeownership track. Information will be made available
about special affordable mortgage products, down payment assistance,
affordable homeownership opportunities, etc. Participants will be
provided with a free credit report and an opportunity to seek advice
from a qualified housing counselor and/or mortgage originator to develop
a Homeownership Action Plan. Workshops on the home buying process will
be provided throughout the day.
“Our goal is to inform families that
homeownership is within their reach and it is possible,” states
Elizabeth Torres, Executive Director of BNT. Admission is free.
