1/7/2013 - ‘Take Your Child to Library Day’ is Feb. 2
The Bridgeport Public Library will join other libraries throughout the country and participate in the second annual “Take Your Child to the Library” Day on Saturday, Feb. 2.

Nancy Wallace, author of “Rabbit’s Bedtime,” “Paperwhites” and other picture books, will visit two Bridgeport Library locations. Wallace designed the logo for Take Your Child to the Library Day.

Parents with children of all ages are invited to visit the Bridgeport Public Library. Discover the wonders of having a Bridgeport Public Library card. Check out a book, magazine, talking book or DVD. Find out about learning learn another language, get free online tutoring, free early literacy software, access children’s books online and more.

Special activities planned at the Burroughs & Saden branch will include Mother Goose Story time for children up to 36 months at 10:15 a.m., a family movie for all ages at 11 and a visit from Wallace at 1 p.m. Wallace will visit at the North Branch Library at 3.

These programs are free and open to the public.
