Mayor Ganim With Fairfield First Selectwoman Kupchick Announce Environmental Rehabilitation of Ash Creek Sand Bar and Partnership for Flood Prevention Projects Between Bridgeport and Fairfield
WHO: Mayor Ganim, Fairfield’s First Selectwoman Kupchick, Bridgeport’s Parks Director Steve Hladun, Fairfield’s Conservation Director Timothy Bishop, Finance Director Kenneth Flatto, Representative of the Ash Creek Conservation Association, City Council and community members.
WHAT: Mayor Ganim and Fairfield First Selectwoman Kupchick, will be joined by the Ash Creek Conservation Association, to announce environmental rehabilitation of Ash Creek Sand Bar. In addition, Bridgeport and Fairfield have partnered in a series of flood prevention projects based along Rooster River. The property's ecological restoration allows for future initiatives which will improve the area's quality of life and revitalize the community.
