Bridgeport, CT – City of Bridgeport officials are encouraging residents to sign up for BPTAlerts to receive COVID-19 updates from City officials via text, phone call, or email. BPTAlerts is an emergency notification system that provides information on emergency updates, severe weather, power outages, storm response, utility outages, public health crisis, and city office closures.

“Right now, it’s important that residents know how to register for the COVID vaccine. Receiving an alert will provide eligibility information and resources for individuals who need assistance registering themselves or a family member.” stated Director Appleby.

Sign up for BPTAlerts here or visit http://bridgeportct.gov/BPTAlerts.

Residents 65 years of age and older, or family members of residents 65 and older, are also encouraged to call the City Senior Helpline at 203-576-7993 for assistance with registering to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as well as to receive more information on the mobile vaccination clinic available to eligible residents that are homebound.

Follow the City of Bridgeport on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for more information and updates on COVID-19 vaccine distribution.
