MAYOR GANIM ENCOURAGES CUSTOMERS TO SHOP LOCAL, EAT LOCAL
DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON IN DOWNTOWN BRIDGEPORT

PARKING METER FEES AND ENFORCEMENT SUSPENDED THROUGH JANUARY 6TH, 2021

 

BRIDGEPORT, CT – Mayor Ganim has suspended the collection of fees and enforcement during the holiday season to support local Downtown businesses by encouraging customers to eat local, shop local. Parking meter fees and enforcement of parking meter payments will be suspended in Downtown Bridgeport from December 9, 2020 until January 6, 2021.

“It’s important that we remember to support local businesses -- especially during the holidays” stated Mayor Ganim. “By suspending the enforcement and collection of parking meter fees, we hope residents and visitors feel encouraged to eat local, shop local, and enjoy the holiday season in our City.”
