11/24/2020 - City of Bridgeport to Celebrate Thanksgiving Day - Operations Schedule for Sanitation, Recycling, Brown Bag Collection, and Transfer Station

CITY OF BRIDGEPORT TO CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING DAY

OPERATIONS SCHEDULE FOR SANITATION, RECYCLING, BROWN BAG COLLECTION, AND TRANSFER STATION

 

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The City of Bridgeport offices will be closed Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th to celebrate Thanksgiving. Additionally, residents are advised of the following holiday schedule for sanitation, recycling, brown bag collection, and the transfer station.

Sanitation and Recycling pick-up routes
Sanitation will be picked up on normal schedule and routes will not be affected by Thanksgiving Holiday.

Brown Bag collection
Brown Bag Collection will be suspended due to Thanksgiving Holiday and the new schedule goes as follows. Thursday will be collected on Saturday and Friday will be collected on Sunday.

*If pick-up is further delayed, do not remove bags from the curb—the public facilities crew will service your neighborhood as soon as possible.

Transfer Station
Closed Thanksgiving, November 26th and 27th
Reopens Saturday, November 28th
*City of Bridgeport officials remind all residents that masks are required at the Transfer Station.*

The Transfer Station is owned and operated by the City of Bridgeport to provide the community access to environmentally responsible disposal and recycling services. The facility is open to the public year-round; Monday-Saturday, 7AM-3PM.
