MAYOR GANIM, CITY OF BRIDGEPORT TAKE THE PINK PLEDGE, ENCOURAGE RESIDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN INSPIRE LOVE VIRTUAL EVENT TO BENEFIT NORMA PFRIEM BREAST CENTER  


BRIDGEPORT, CT – Mayor Ganim, City of Bridgeport officials are taking the Pink Pledge and encouraging residents to participate in the Inspire Love Virtual Event; a community wide, awareness, and fundraising campaign to benefit the Norma Pfriem Breast Center until October 16, 2020. 

Events include the options to inspire in motion and in place:  run, walk, or bike a 5K, decorate your porch, yard, driveway or business in pink, and send photos of your results to enter for a chance to win “Most Inspired.”

Additionally, City of Bridgeport remind residents to schedule a mammogram as well as supporting the cause by wearing pink all month long.  Bridgeport Fire Department and City vehicles will also display the breast cancer ribbon in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
