Mayor Ganim Welcomes SNY First-of-its-Kind Weekend Hockey Festival “Connecticut Ice”
Festival to include CT’s NCAA Division I Men's College Hockey tournament
Bridgeport, CT – At a press conference today hosted at Webster Bank Arena, SNY announced plans for a first-of-its-kind weekend hockey festival, “Connecticut Ice.” The inaugural three-day festival will include a first ever four-game tournament featuring Connecticut’s NCAA Division I Men’s rival hockey teams– Sacred Heart University, Quinnipiac University, Yale University, and UCONN. “Connecticut Ice” will take place Friday, January 24 through Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, CT.
“Bridgeport is becoming the ice and entertainment capital of the region,” said Mayor Ganim. “As a City, we are proud to be hosting college hockey at its best along with a day of fun for the whole family. “Connecticut Ice” is great for Bridgeport, the fans, and visitors from the surrounding region.”
