Mayor Ganim Announces Search for Chief Administrative Officer
Bridgeport – Mayor Joe Ganim announced today that planning has begun in search for a Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Bridgeport. Kimberly Staley who currently holds the position has accepted the responsibility of Chief Administrative Officer with Capital Workforce Partners in Hartford and will resign from her role with the city as of November 30, 2018. Kimberly has served Mayor Ganim and the City of Bridgeport for more than two years and will stay on through the end of the month to assist with the search and preparations for the new hire.
“Kimberly has done an exceptional job leading our staff and has been a true asset for our city over the last two years. We are grateful for her service and dedication. She will certainly be sorely missed,” stated Mayor Ganim.
The responsibilities of Chief Administrative Officer focus on delivering benefits for the residents of Bridgeport by overseeing and leading all city departments to maintain an overall structure that is defined with measurable objectives and goals. This position also includes the planning, coordination, and execution of targeted programs, operations and activities that bring a fresh approach to the challenges Bridgeport is facing.
