Bridgeport Proud Host to Puerto Rican Parade of Fairfield County Cultural Pageant & Future Events
Hundreds in Attendance to support and put spotlight on talented local youth
Bridgeport, CT– The City of Bridgeport proudly hosted The 2017 Puerto Rican Parade of Fairfield County Cultural (PRPFC) Pageant. The pageant spotlighted the remarkable talent of local youth participants. The afternoon affair at the Bijou Theater started with the singing of the Star Spangled Banner and La Borinqueña, the national anthems of the respective countries. The celebration continued with the youth competing to be the cultural ambassador’s at all future events this year.

The judging panel bestowed the honor of representing the PRPFC at all upcoming events to the following:

Miss Teen Puerto Rico
Christina Auguste, Bridgeport/Lares – attends Classical Studies Magnet Academy

Irene Surapine, Norwalk – attends Brien McMahon High School
The lineup of events begins with the Annual Awards Banquet on Friday July 7, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn, 1070 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT. A flag raising will take place on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:30 A.M. at City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace, Bridgeport, CT. Lastly, the Annual Parade will be on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. from Central High School leading to the renowned Festival at Seaside Park, Bridgeport, CT.
