City of Bridgeport to Host the Mobile Vietnam Veterans Memorial ‘The Wall that Heals’

‘The Wall that Heals’ is a Half-Scale Replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memoral located in the District of Columbia

 

Bridgeport, CT –The City of Bridgeport and The Association of Naval Veterans Port 5 will host the world traveled Vietnam Veterans Memorial ‘The Wall that Heals’. ‘The Wall that Heals’ is a mobile half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial located in Washington, D.C. built by The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, Inc (VVMF). The National Association of Naval Veterans Port 5 has enlisted the support of local motorcyclist organizations to escort the ‘The Wall that Heals’ from Sherwood Island Park in Westport to Seaside Park in Bridgeport Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 9:00 A.M.  The ceremonies will continue with a procession beginning at 10:00 A.M.  ‘The Wall that Heals’ will be stationed at Seaside Park and on display for the public beginning on Thursday, May 4 at 6:00 P.M. The memorial will be available 24 hours a day with a closing ceremony on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at noon.

 

VVMF is a non-profit District of Columbia organization that was authorized by the U.S. Congress in 1980 to build a national memorial dedicated to all who served with the U.S. armed forces in the Vietnam War. For more information go to: http://portfiveusa.com/
