Mayor Ganim:  City of Bridgeport City Services Will Operate On a 2 Hour Delay

Non-Essential City Employees Report to Work on a 2 Hour Delay, Wednesday, March 15th

 

 

Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Ganim has announced a two (2) hour delay for non-essential employees due to the snow emergency still in effect through Wednesday, March 15, 2017.    Snow fall is expected to be scattered through the overnight but with severe icing conditions, and clean-up will continue into Wednesday for winter storm Stella throughout the City of Bridgeport.  

 

Emergency Personnel such as Police, Fire, Public Facilities and Emergency Operations Center should contact your supervisor and inquire about reporting to your shift.

 

Bridgeport Public Schools have announced that schools will be closed on Wednesday, March 15th, 2017.

 

Sanitation/Recycling/Transfer Station

Sanitation and recycling pickup will resume Thursday, March 16th with the normal daily schedule. The Transfer Station located on 475 Asylum Street will open at 7:00 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017.
