The City of Bridgeport and Operation Fuel Offer Energy Saving Opportunities to Local Small Businesses
As much as $2,000 Available to Local, Small Businesses Toward the Cost of Energy Efficiency Improvements
Bridgeport, CT – The City of Bridgeport today is inviting local, small business owners to attend an energy saving information session being offered by Operation Fuel. Operation Fuel is a non-profit organization with over 40 years of experience providing residential energy assistance, and is now pleased to offer financial benefits to small businesses. Eligible businesses can earn $125 toward their electric bill just for completing an energy audit, and as much as $2,000 toward the cost of making energy efficiency improvements that provide long-term energy savings. Operation Fuel and its partners will be in Bridgeport over the next few weeks spreading the word about energy saving resources for small businesses. The City of Bridgeport wants to ensure that these resources are reaching small businesses in our community.
“Our small businesses play an indispensable role in our economy,” said Mayor Ganim. “Operation Fuel’s small business energy efficiency program has already helped dozens of Bridgeport businesses, and many more can lower their energy costs through this program. I want our small businesses, which might lack the time and financial resources to invest in energy efficiency improvements, to have access to them through this program.”
