WHEREAS, the adopted Fiscal Year 2016-2017 General Fund operating budget has total expenditures appropriations of $552,491,617;
WHEREAS, the adopted Fiscal Year 2016-2017 General Fund operating budget has total revenue appropriations of $552,491,617;
WHEREAS, the adopted Fiscal Year 2016-2017 General Fund operating budget has total non-tax revenue appropriations of $242,604,706;
WHEREAS, the adopted Fiscal Year 2016-2017 General Fund operating budget has total current tax revenue appropriations of $309,886,911;
WHEREAS, Bridgeport City Charter, Chapter 9, Sec. 5 (f) states: “Not later than the seventh day after action on the budget is completed, the city council shall, by resolution, set a mill rate for the ensuing fiscal year, which shall, together with other sources of revenue, generate sufficient funds to support the budget adopted by the city council.”
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The FY 2016-2017 Mill Rates be, and hereby are, set as 54.37 mills for real property and personal property and 37.00 mills for motor vehicles.
