Bridgeport, Conn. (August 4, 2015) – The Bridgeport Police Department and Mayor Bill Finch will join community members to celebrate National Night Out. National Night Out is an annual event designed to raise crime prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit and annuity, and foster community-police partnerships.

Please join neighbors and the police department from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the parking lot on Black Rock Avenue at The Eleanor/Franklin Apartments at 695 Park Avenue.

The Police Department will have the Silver Crime Patrol Program, the Neighborhood Watch Program, and the Mobile Crime Unit in attendance. There will be a K-9 demonstration, police horses, police cars, and fire trucks.

There will also be free food, drink, and entertainment for the public.
