“We’re excited to begin our summer movie series tonight with, by popular demand, Annie. It will be a great night. I checked the Channel 12 forecast and called in a few favors, so the weather will be nice. So bring your kids, a lawn chair and some popcorn and enjoy Downtown Bridgeport. The best part about it is it’s free.” – Mayor Bill Finch
Bridgeport, Conn. (June 19, 2015) – Mayor Bill Finch today invited people young and old to come to Bridgeport and enjoy a movie under the stars as the city tonight kicks off the Park City Movie Series.
“We’re excited to begin our summer movie series tonight with, by popular demand, Annie,” said Mayor Bill Finch. “It will be a great night. I checked the Channel 12 forecast and called in a few favors, so the weather should be nice. So bring your kids, a lawn chair and some popcorn and enjoy Downtown Bridgeport. The best part about it is it’s free.”
“The original Annie is a classic but I think the 2014 remake is just as good,” Mayor Finch added.
The movie will be shown at Baldwin Plaza at the corner of Broad Street and Fairfield Avenue behind the Courthouse on Main Street.
