Bridgeport, Conn. (March 17, 2015) – Today, Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch joined folks from across the city to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
“It’s always one of the greatest days of the year. And, we’re celebrating the Irish contributions to building this great city. We’re celebrating the past, and our city’s future. We’re building a city that works for everyone by creating jobs today and preparing our kids to compete for the jobs of tomorrow,” said Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch.
According to the Connecticut Post, the first Bridgeport St. Patrick’s Day Parade was held in 1982, led by then Mayor Leonard Paoletta.
