BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (June 30, 2014) – USA Basketball Women’s National
Basketball Team will play an exhibition game against Canadian Women’s
National Basketball Team on Monday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
“I can’t
wait to get this team together in the fall and I am thrilled to be able
to finish our training in the United States right here in Bridgeport,”
said Geno Auriemma, 2013-16 USA National Team and University of
Connecticut head coach. “I know the fans will enjoy this opportunity to
see the USA Basketball Women's National Team. I’m also excited about
having the opportunity to play Canada. I know they will be working just
as hard as we are to prepare for the FIBA World Championship and anytime
you have the chance to go up against an international opponent, it only
makes you better. Winning the gold medal isn’t going to be easy, and
our domestic training will be critical in our preparations.”

USA Women’s National Team exhibition game versus Canada on September
