MIRA has a host of general reentry-based support for individuals in need of support that include, but are not limited to: case management, legal services, internship and volunteer opportunities, and/or reentry mentoring support. The following is a list of resources that may be able to assist:
Alliance for Community Empowerment - services include daycare, emergency rent and utilities assistance, eviction prevention
Child Support Enforcement (contact MIRA office to schedule 1-on-1 review of case)
Connecticut Legal Services - offers legal aid assistance
Connecticut's Reentry Community - provides resources for education, employment, access to food, healthcare, and housing, and obtaining identification
Ex-Offender Reentry Programs - services include housing, food, and legal assistance, employment opportunities, mental health support
Family Reentry - services include transitional housing, youth mentoring, support for mental health and substance abuse issues, fatherhood engagement
Heart 4 Hearts, Inc. - services include obtaining personal identification, housing, education, GED & job training, employment assistance/short term employment, substance abuse treatment, access to health care and medication, mental health screening, counseling and mentors, financial literacy training and more
LifeBridge Community Services - offers after school programs for kids aged 11 to 14, therapy, emotional support, and family resources
National Reentry Resource Center - offers training to recipients of the second chance act grant, hosts webinars for reentry information, lists relevant resources

Reentry Mythbusters - factsheet on reentry
Social Service Supports - offers information on getting social services like food stamps, housing assistance, social security and disability benefits
211 of Connecticut - lists food pantries, clothing drives, community clinics, many housing options, mental health services, job assistance programs, transportation, obtaining identification
