What is the WPCA?
The WPCA (Water Pollution Control Authority) operates two wastewater treatment facilities and maintains the sewer system in the City of Bridgeport by collecting and treating wastewater generated by the residents of the City of Bridgeport.
The WPCA offices are opened for customer services; see hours below. The office is accepting payments in the form of checks, credit and debit cards, no "Visa debit accepted". You can also pay your bill by clicking here or mail your payment to the WPCA.

Call ahead before visiting us
Some customers have multiple accounts and do not bring their billing information with them. They request the Customer Service Representative (CSR) to print all of their bills for them for payment. In these instances, we will inform the customer that they will have to call us by phone to make this request.
All questions regarding invoices that would take research and/or excessive time will need to be done by telephone.
Any vendors coming for permits from the WPCA should have an appointment with the Engineer.

Permits
The WPCA also issues permits for the new installations and or repair of sanitary sewer lateral connections to the sewer system. Click here to learn about how Sewer Use fees are calculated.
