SIGN LICENSE APPLICATION SUBMITTAL PROCEDURE
A Sign License is required for the erections, alteration, repair, relocation and replacement of an outdoor sign, free standing or attached to a structure.
Exceptions: Traffic, highway and street signs or markers and maintained pursuant to law.
WHO CAN APPLY:
Any company or individual doing work within the City of Bridgeport
SIGN LICENSE APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
Until further notice the following procedures are in place:
All Applications are to be submitted electronically by email to Building@BridgeportCT.Gov. All required and supporting documents are to be submitted in PDF.
Provide the Following
- Sign and return "Sign License Application" (must be signed by the principal of the company / individual).
- Submit an Insurance Certificate with the City of Bridgeport listed as certificate holder. Your Certificate must include liability, automobile and Workman’s Compensation. (For sole proprietors, affidavit signed and notarized).
- Payment will be requested after the application is processed. You will receive an invoice and instructions to submit payment.
