|Congratulations on your marriage!
When applying for a marriage license you need the following:
You both must come to the Vital Statistics Office at the Margaret E. Morton Government Center, 999 Broad Street in downtown Bridgeport; if you can’t come in together, one individual should come in to get the process started. You must be in the office by appointment only.
- Picture identification with your current address (if you don’t have identification, bring two different utility bills for proof of address)
- Social Security cards
- Name, address and phone number of the person performing the ceremony (for a list of Bridgeport justices of the peace, click here
- The address where the ceremony will take place
- Date of marriage
- $50.00 cash or money order. We only accept cash or money orders (made out to the "VITAL RECORDS").
