The office of Vital Records issues official copies of Marriage Certificates.
- The fee for a copy of marriage certificates (for persons already married) is $20, payable by cash or money order
- To expedite the process, you can print and fill out the form in advance of coming to the office.
- Because the City of Bridgeport does not accept credit cards or online orders, we have partnered with an independent company to provide this service. You may choose to use the VitalChek Express Service, (www.vitalchek.com) to complete the entire process online. Note: VitalCheck charges a $7 processing fee plus $20 for shipping for using this service, which can be avoided by applying by mail or in person. All major credit cards are accepted through the online portal, including American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
