Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower people with disabilities and their families by providing them with the information and support they need to advocate for their rights and access programs that can help them. We strive to equip individuals with the knowledge and resources they need to overcome challenges and lead full lives. We are dedicated to providing direct advocacy support when necessary, so everyone can have their voice heard and ensure they receive the assistance they need.
Objective
Our objective is to provide advocacy/protective safeguards and services for persons with disabilities to help insure their rights are protected and to prevent abuse, neglect and /or exploitation. To provide community outreach and education to community groups, agency personnel and disability support groups.
The city is committed to ensure that its facilities are accessible. The ultimately goal is to achieve full inclusion for persons with disabilities to all programs, services, and activities offered by the City of Bridgeport.
