9/30/2014 - Twenty-Eight New Police Officers From Bridgeport, Norwalk, Hamden, Fairfield and Greenwich Graduate from the Bridgeport Police Academy
(Bridgeport, CT – Sept. 30, 2014) – Twenty-eight recruits will graduate from the Bridgeport Police Academy on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014.
“Thursday will be a special day,” said Mayor Bill Finch. “We’re welcoming 28 new police officers in five different cities and towns. Seven months ago, they started the academy as strangers and leave ready to start new careers keeping our kids and families safe – and as a family.”
Seventeen of the new officers will serve the residents of Bridgeport and our visitors.
One each will serve in Fairfield and Greenwich. Five will serve in Hamden and four will serve in Norwalk.
“I am proud of how this class has progressed, and I am confident that all of the recruits will serve their cities and towns exceptionally well as police officers,” said Bridgeport Police Chief Joseph L. Gaudett. “I want to express my gratitude to our academy staff and all the adjunct instructors who provided an exceptional level of training.”

Edwin Abreu Jr., Judson Brown, Michael Cavaliere, Brian Coyne, Cynthia Dolyak, Edwin Garcia Jr., John Knapp, Albert Kunst, Ariel Martinez, Jesse Meade, David Morales, Freddy Neal, Michael Paoletti, Davon Polite, Aaron Rivera, Victor Rodriguez Jr. and Janice Vizzo will be Bridgeport’s newest officers.
Richard Peck will join the Fairfield Police Department. Brian Andronaco will join the Greenwich department.
In Hamden, Daniel Allen, Christina Giori, Sara Parker, Christopher Sheppard and Justin Thibault will join the force.
Elizabeth Gay, John Petrafesa, Kimberly Prada and Daniel Vazquez will join the Norwalk department
