The WPCA (Water Pollution Control Authority) operates two wastewater treatment facilities and maintains the sewer system in the City of Bridgeport.

The WPCA also issues permits for the new installations and or repair of sanitary sewer lateral connections to the sewer system. Click here to learn about how Sewer Use fees are calculated.
Permits are also issued for Fats, Oil and Grease separation systems Call (203) 332-5550 extensions 210 or 211 regarding permits. See our fee schedule for cost information.
